About State Bar Councils
State Bar Councils are statutory bodies established under the Advocates Act, 1961. They are responsible for enrolling advocates, maintaining disciplinary standards, and safeguarding the rights, privileges, and interests of advocates.
Enrolling as an Advocate?
Law graduates must enroll with a State Bar Council to practice law in India. Post-enrollment, advocates must clear the All India Bar Examination (AIBE) within two years.
